I'm currently 7th with keyword 'dll' and 11th with 'ip address' but ofcourse I want to be number one with both keywords :) What makes MSN really happy? Good links or SEO optimized content ?

Btw, are there any webmasters who want to trade links with me ?
    My URL's:

    http://www.showipaddress.com and
    http://www.dll-download.net

    Cheers

Those are some crazy keywords.. You will need to get lots of inbound links with your keywords in the anchor text. Good on-page SEO will also help you rank well in MSN.

I have found that MSN seems to be a lot simpler to get to the top than google. Site wides and things like the coop seem to have a very positive effect - and of course no sand box!

Richard, you mentioned Coop, I'm using Link Vault instead. I'm getting great results on Google & Yahoo with Link Vault but not MSN. Which one do you think is better for MSN ?

as MSN search matures I am sure it will become a lot more difficult to get on

I remember a time when it was easy to have your sites as the number 1 link in google... now it is near impossible!!

How can I have more inbound links then I already have ? F.e. at showipaddress the menu re-appears at every section and that are all internal links on the site.

Or do you perhaps mean a sitemap (like on your site, Home Decor) at all pages ?

imo it's high pr backlinks. they don't seem to have the same aging and/or unnatural link pattern filters that google and (maybe) yahoo have.
