What makes Alexa show results for different countries?

    What makes Alex show the traffic split for a site across different countries.

    At one time, for one of my sites, Alex used to show the split between US, UK, Germany etc. but it doesn't anymore.

    For me it seems to have disappeared about the time they anounced their updated traffic ranking system. I know Alexa figures are artificial but I find them interesting anyway.
