Hey guys! Well As you know soon I'll be launching my own CB product, still working on it. anyway, this thread is not directly related to it, I'm not trying to promote anything here, just want to let you guys know what I think makes a Cb product a real DREAM PRODUCT for affiliates, and also I'd like you to share your thoughts and insights! Here are some DREAM PRODUCTS: - Earth4Energy - Fatloss4Idiots - Truth About Abs - Magic of Making Up - and many more..... Well what do this product have in common? why are they so great? What makes then so attractive to affiliates (gravity doesn't count) Well here's what I think every DREAM PRODUCT should have: Unique Brand - Identity Yep, this includes a representative logo/symbol/name, branding is very important, we see people searching for the actual brand name of these products, so it has a huge impact. Tip: Give your product a unique branding/identity, not some generic name/domain full of dashes. LOL Huge Hungry Market Of course!, every dream product has been created to calm the hunger of a huge crowd! Anything more than 1,000,000 prospects is definitely worth trying. Tip: Proper niche/market research is crucial, take an entire day if necessary to understand how the market works, where the audience hangs out and how they behave. Money, Money, and Money to Spend! There should be enough proof that a market is hungry and that the audience is buying, if not then forget about it. A DREAM PRODUCT targets a market of people that are already willing to spend money for something they think will save them time, more money or effort. Tip: Look for related products in your niche and see if people are buying them. Persuasive Sales Letter - A Story! People love stories, a great sales letter should provide a story for the reader, not just a bunch of selling stuff. adding real value to your sales letter is also very important. Tip: Always try to provide social proof and an "experience" inside of your sales letter. Solid, Strong and Well Researched Product That's right, this is also important to lower the refund rate, if your product is solid, well researched and filled with a bunch or valuable information you'll have happy customers.... and of course happy affiliates. Tip: Research well your niche and create an amazing product, doesn't matter how much money you have to spend on it, if the market is profitable then take the risk! at the end you'll only have to pay once for it and profit over and over again. A MEGA Affiliate Resource Page! One of our favorites! A complete affiliate center will attract solid affiliates to your offer and you'll also be making their lives easier. Banners, keyword lists, ads, articles, landing pages.... everything you think will benefit your affiliates should be here. Hmmmm what else?......Luck? LOL Well, I'll stop there... it is your turn guys, what else you think an affiliate DREAM PRODUCT should have? Cheers guys! ☮☮☮Clean and peaceful thread, keep the drama away please!☮☮☮
Man oh man I wish I had bookmarked the thread with the comparison of the highest grav products on CB cuz that layed it out like a hot, drunk girlfriend on prom night. If anyone finds that thread please post it. It should really be stickied. Chop, chop
What makes a Dream Product? First off, dream product for who, the customer or you're wallet. If it's your wallet you're talking about...Packaging, presentation and 3rd party endorsement. And it's not whether or not they need the product/service (case in point, infomercial products, a lot of the stuff we market via the Internet) but can you convince them they can't live without it, does it look pretty and did you let them know their neighbor already bought one too. LOL (this sh** is so much fun, I love sales!) " Salesmanship starts when the customer says "NO!". "
And avoid any established brand-names, so we don't get in trouble with the AdWords Trademark Gestapo. So, no "Google Payload" etc. type of names.
I can't stand people who make products load an affiliate page then just say "Good luck" - For a vendor and affiliate to be successful they should both be interacting, asking and answering questions. If a vendor doesn't have time for your questions then you shouldn't have time for their product.
A dream product for me is one that makes it easy to sell. I want plenty of ideas and information about the niche, not just a few banners. That's fine for people that already have established relevant traffic, but for someone who's going to create custom promotions, we need a bit more info to help us get the best out of it.
I like products that have a good affiliate manager that will answer relevant questions, provide articles & other content, a review copy or some information about what the product actually does. The affiliate section should be updated quite regularly perhaps with a newsletter telling affiliates about what is currently going on with the product.
Affiliate Manager, or a product owner, who are available daily to answer questions, etc. is key. Contests are fun as well, even if not for a huge amount. The occassional PERSONAL email thanking me for hard work, etc. will go a long way as well.
Taraff1 - great points. Contests are good, but personal attention and an affiliate manager to support you is very important. Even setting up a blog or help forum for affiliates would make things easier. Anything to show that you're there (as a vendor) to help out and support them should they need it.
Hey guys! wow some great point here, I agree with you all, a "dream product" should also have great support for affiliates, not just for the customers, which is a must. And yes, I hate also those products that seem to be abandoned I've sent a lot of emails to the owners of products and around 90% of them were unanswered, really. I'm sure that has happened a lot to you as well. So yes, a good product should also have a good vendor behind to interact with the affiliate force. P.S. Guys asking about my..."dream product" LOL Well.... soon, you'll see.
Great thread. I will be launching my own CB product in next two months so I will be following this thread.
To cater the Huge Hungry Market, either you should innovate a new product that never appeared before or design a product by learning of gaps in the market where it is currently existing.
