Can any one tell me what makes a great sales copy, when selling a Informational product. What should questions should i ask my self to put myself in the customers shoes " even if they are stinky" . Is there a key way in relating to the customer within my sales copy? Is there such a thing as too much selling? Should bonuses be given? If so How many? Thank for your tip in advice homies.
First you need to know what your selling. You want the sales pitch how this product can help them. You want them kept interested in what they are reading. ( make sure the spelling is correct). You can have a great sales pitch with spelling bad they will leave fast) do not make long paragraphs make them short and sweet several paragraphs instead of large ones be sure to space them. Tell them how long the product has been around if it has.Put in testimonials even if they are fake ad photos next to them even a photo's of your mom or dad who's to know. Hope this helps
creating self explanotory images/video on your sales letter is a good option as well, reading everything becomes quite tiresome sometimes ...
Short punchy copy that is to the point. Good call to action. And have a very strong website to get visitors there to start with that users can find and easily understand. You won't believe the number of websites out there where you don't know what their purpose is!
It looks like you're starting as an absolute beginner. Becoming a good copywriter takes time--LOTS of time. As long as you understand that going in, here are some resources to get you started... Books: "The Ultimate Sales Letter" by Dan Kennedy. "The Adweek Copywriting Handbook" Free resources on the web: www.TheGaryHalbertLetter.com TONS of solid gold information that can make you a fortune. www.MakepeaceTotalPackage.com - daily ezine full of tips, suggestions, advice, etc. Great resource. www.BencivengaBullets.com - a series of terrific articles by one of the greatest copywriters alive. That's enough to keep you busy for awhile.
I'm not a salesperson ... just a web developer. Anyway, I'm using this method: AIDA. A - Attention I - Interest D - Desire A - Action Check in Wikipedia for more.
As procopywriter said, it's a big subject. What works in a market doesn't in an other one but there are some basics. Understand your potential customers. Sell people what they want not what they need and give the what they need. Use triggers like fear. Try to get them emotionally involved. Those are only some little advices. I especially advice you to read "The Ultimate Sales Letter".
