As title says, what makes a domain expensive or cheap? Just the PR effect the price? I think that the name matters too? or not really? Please help me, thanks. I would like to know what things make a domain expensive.
    Thanks

Two of the main factors are the keywords in the domain name and the useability.

For example, if you have the domain name "LawnMower.com" and "Lawn Mower" is searched 10,000 times a day - you are likely to get a lot of address bar type ins. You are also likely to rank very easily for that competitive keyword.

Now, if you sell Lawn Mowers, the domain "LawnMower.com" is not as appealing as "LawnMowers.com". Due to the "Lawn Mower" niche, you would find that LawnMowers.com is much more valuable than LawnMower.com, and will still rank easily for the main keyword.

So, an easy to remember, general domain name that has a lot of applications will be worth many times more than a domain name with limited applications. Domains applicable to niches that generate sales online will also be many more times valuable than a domain for an offline niche. For example, "KidsToys.com" vs "Bakery.com"

Well, PR is very limited concept. You can determine a maximum price of a domain with certain PR but when it comes to premium domains (maybe one word or brandable and established enough), you can even except in $XXXXX.

    1) Specific to Niche (How related your domain to the niche?)
    2) Remember-ability. (The name should be easy to remember)
    3) TLD. (.com domains have more value)
    4) Keyword (Can you can get the keyword you want to optimize for as domain name?)
    5) Length (the smaller, the better)
    6) Without special characters (domains with hyphen is a turn off)

number 1 to be short and easy to remember , but sometimes we find a long one but not cheap , like " aljazeerasport.com " , or " multimirror " , and every name had a sens is so expensive like " cinema " , " music " or something like that .

The most important thing that makes a domain expensive is the quality of the name, eg. being a popular Keyword domain & also the extention, eg. Poker.com, Sex.com, etc.

And also how much an enduser wants your name.
