What make a blog Special?

What type of blog do you read most?

What do you really enjoy about that blog?

What makes you to revisit it over and over again...

What sets them special than those that you never revisit again?

Just want to know your views...

 

These are the things I believe that makes a blog/site unique:

1. Fresh, original content!
2. New stuff every day (or almost)
3. Nice Layout
4. User-friendly navigation
5. Etc.

Maybe there are more features that I'm missing... I'm sure that others DPs will add them to my list

 

I generally visit blogs that stay somewhat on topic. I don't want to see my favorite ______blog talking about changing diapers one day, sports cars the next and politics on the following day.

I hate blogs that make me click to see the rest of the story. Equally I hate blogs with poor navigation.

 

I like original content, well written subject matter. I like the posts that show only part of the post, and I need to click to read more. It lets me scan the first part and decide if I like it well enough to read the rest. I dislike blog posts that take up the entire page. If the post does not interest me then I don't want to waste my time having to scroll endlessly to see if the next post is worth my while.

 

I like blogs where the writing is so good (and I am not only talking wit, here) that you wonder what this person really does.
But what makes a blog really special for me are the commenters.

My blog isn't a great blog, and I don't really give opinions I just lay out the info and leave it to the commenters and they are really good at chewing the post up and spitting out something fresh and clever.

 

Interesting content with personality. Blogs with limited ads. Simple but nice layout. Easy navigation.

 

I like to read on any topic... so no specific preferences as such..

But the content should be fresh... probably the information is not new but the perspective should atleast be new...

Besides content, simple layout with things evenly paced out appeals more..

And yes updation of the content is must.

Im not a blog reader, i find a blog with really useful info and just read everything i can and dump it
I know its not nice, but hey, i aint got time to read stuff i dont care about.
So write a lot of content so your readers will care to see whats the next post

 

For me its, fresh content, easy to use navigation, a nice design and the blog has one topic.

 

I love these things in blogs:

1.) Fresh, daily content
2.) Great design
3.) Easy Navigation
4.) Has one topic and sticks to it
5.) Posts are detailed, not too long, and gets straight to the point

 

i think content itself is the best attraction for a blog.

and if the blog post are based on the real life examples that is 2 good.

i like that.

 

CONTENT IS KING!!

No doubt about that... Updates are a must, but then again, it depends on the number of posts already in your repository and stuff.... secondly, how much the author connects to the people/age group reading the blog is equally vital... design can also be a factor.
