I've been through my fair share of designers and I would like to try one of these logo design contest marketplace websites that have been pretty popular recently. I've come across several that a very reputable, but I'm curious which one has the most talented designers and easiest user interface? The following marketplaces I have given consideration to. Can someone please lead me in the best direction when choosing between them? http://99designs.com or http://www.elogocontest.com
It would appear there is some really good work going on at 99designs. That is top notch stuff. Further proof you get what you pay for. Nigel
Before the 99Designs was launched, Design Outpost was the unquestionable leader. And they are still doing very well now. I'd recommend both 99Designs and Design Outpost.
That's the exact reason why the quality is so much higher. You can't expect the professional designers to be attracted by the $20-$50 logo design contests
Here's 9 from my Design / Freelance / Contest personal resources list. In my opinion, a designer can never have too many resources in their arsenal. Forums with Design Contests: * www.forums.digitalpoint.com * www.skillfights.com * www.webmaster-talk.com * www.v7n.com * www.designoutpost.com/forums/ Moderated Design Contests: * www.CreativeHub.com * www.99Designs.com * www.CrowdSpring.com * www.elogocontest.com I would be more than happy to post the link to all 29 resources if anyone wants me to. I update the list as I test resources & find them useful.
Wow! Thanks for all the great feedback guys. Design Outpost does have some great stuff, and 99Designs is a little pricey, but it is quality. I'm still deciding what my budget will be for this logo.
If it's the price that matters, well, you may want stay away from creativehub.com then there minimum prize amounts are $500.00 & I have seen them reach up to $10,000.00+ . There pricing for clients utilizing their site starts around $1,000.00. They deal more with large corporate conglomerates though.
