I have been using CJ on my sites for about a month, only promoting about 4-5 programs lightly by writing reviews. I have made about 95 dollars in one month, with the highest products commission at 15.00 per sale, and the others in the 2-5 dollar lead payout. So, I feel I am doing well, and plan on doing it more now that it seems to be working. My question is what is the difference in javascript vs. HTML links? Also, what options should I check for best results (Encrypt link?, Hide tracking code in link?) Thanks in advance.
I always like to use the hide tracking code in link because otherwise when people hover over the link it looks like a real funky destination. This probably doesn't make as much difference as I think it does because in reality, most people don't even notice stuff like that. But it's more of a "just in case" sort of thing. I prefer using the HTML links to the javascript because the javascript links don't seem to be able to be hidden in the same way. It hasn't worked for me anyway. I suppose the javascript has a big advantage when it comes to banners though in that they can be automatically updated by the merchant with the latest deals etc. I also always "nofollow" CJ links.
I've been cloaking links for a while.. are there issues with this? Specifically, rover code to ebay? Thanks! hanji
