I am planning to start a blog on latest technology and recent inventions. While I was doing some market reasearch for it I found that most of the blogs has some kind of legal section on their blogs. I just wanted to know what kind of legal formalities one have to be complete before making a domain live and start promoting it. And is it necessary to take services of some legal advisor for this kind of stuff. What are the possible difficulties if I don't do that.
Hi Davin, I wouldn't worry so much about legal documentation, as you aren't the creator of any inventions nor are you modifying them in any way. You can add a legal page stating the following for example: "All inventions, information and images found on this website are copyrighted to their respectful owner. If you retain legal copyright to any content found on this blog, provide proper legal documentation and I will remove them." Something to that effect anyway. If you're still worried, you can visit invention / technology blogs, read their legal information and ditto them, just replace any particulars. Good luck Davin - A
If you have Adsense on your site, you need to include a privacy policy as specified in the Terms and Conditions.
You can generate privacy policys(which is really the only legal stuff needed) for free here This generator is adsense compatible too.
Thanks for that Sudoaptitude. This link is really helpful. I will certainly use it. Does the policy generator from this tool is enough for a website to run??
