what laptop should I buy?

    i dont know anyone who had a dell or sony and would recommend them. sonys are very fragile, dells just to expensive.

    thanks for the info falcon, Dell isn't expensive here. I just hate the look of it.

    and thanks for the info on Sony being fragile. didn't know that.

    maybe expensive its not the right word, but out get a lot more power (mostly better gfx cards) or some extas like cardreader on other brands for the same price. dell is more like "lets put a cpu with much GHz + an average amount of ram on the chapest motherboard with an integrated gfx chipset".
    and the have this frikking high shipping costs, like you buy a $400 computer and pay $500 because its $100 for shipping.

    guys, finally i got myself an HP Pavillion 600. hmmm..
    I just got too little time to choose and the variety of the products here is too little. they only have compaq, toshiba and HP pavillion.

    Consider the price is at around 1k US, I bought this HP :D. so far the wi-fi is pretty good. I finally can surf web free now, BUT I cant' access my cpanel.. :(

    Get a sony Vaio. If not then go with dell. The two most reliable
