I have many backlinks for my websites, many other search engines show the backlinks but google doesn't. Please tell me what kind of backlinks google accepts?

It is important to link with the most relevant sites to yours, the highest PR possible, get the best position of your link in the site (e.g. left menu vs footer) etc. From my experience Google counts usually high quality, high PR and the most relevant links. Google also doesn't count too many links from one site as other engines do. I've got with a new site 10 backlinks (2 domains) in Google. The same site has about 200 backlinks from Yahoo (about 10 domains). The truth is that the backlinks indexed by Google are probably the most relevant with low number of other outbound links. The others are directories or website counters with a high number of other links.

Google likes backlinks from those pages which have a lot of backlinks. Plus, Google likes backlinks from pages where those backlinks are positioned high and have H1 or H2 attributes.

Google counts all backlinks without the "nofollow" trait attached. If you search for your backlinks on Google, you won't find them all.

Google accepts just about all backlinks but it doesn't show you all the backlinks you have. Use Yahoo to find out how many backlinks your website has. Yahoo is a more accurate guide.

    My Dear Brothers and Sisters

When we talk about google the only concept comes to mind is backlinks but what type of backlinks.

    1) Relevant
    2) Do follow
    3) Not from same c-class
    4) No paid
    5) Don't do spamming in one site only

Google considers each and every link. You should be able to see all links in Google Webmaster Tools.

well yes google is really strict when it comes to back links, no doubt why we consider google as the center of all search engines. google's quality parameters of tracing a site makes bad practices stay out of the way. It does respond well to a hard worked, honest and reliable site that is built entirely for useful purpose, than for just making few bucks.

IMHO google doesn't show all backlinks when searched using link:domainname.com BUT it shows all links including nofollow links in google webmaster tools.

I don't mean to say all these links contribute towards SERPs but they are shown in wemaster tools. Keep in mind that many 301 redirected links don't show up backlink check but they do pass PR juice and also affect SERPs.

I was wondering why when I checked on google search for my backlink count, it said 48, then when I checked webmaster tools, it said over 2,000!

Because Google shows Do-Follow links and relevant links. This causes a lower number shown than most other link explorers.

Google doesn't show all backlinks in link:domainname query. Google webmaster tools or yahoo site explorer are much more accurate.

Just get backlinks... aim for .edu and .gov, but I have plenty of sites at number one just going for dofollow links from normal blogs and forums, and articles.
