so i got kicked off adsense and now im realizing it wasnt for invalid clicks (i think that's their generic email they send everyone because they are too lazy to give the real details) BUT it was i am sure for a block of pics i had above an adsense block. so i decided to go back to the website where i got the idea from and see now that THEY no longer are adsense publishers either! BUT weird thing is they have this new adsense type advertising under their picture blocks VERY SIMILAR to adsense and i checked the view source and has the same html script as adsense.
    SO WHATS THAT ABOUT??
Is this another new alternative to adsense? Any ideas?????????

heres the site, check it out

I guess its yahoo ads since there is an overture link on the ads.

And i saw a thread somewhere that google may be frown upon those who utilie the technique of images above ads because some of the pics are not showing accurate results on the ads. The images do not reflect anything relevant with the ads and therefore account banning may be triggered.

I did ask Google about the ads-above-text and they said it was OK.

So you're not allowed to do the same thing as what Critters describes in his adsense thread? Is it too much building the page around adsense?

    mrs.pinksox,
The page you mentioned & 1000s other still use those - much discussed - format without any problem so far.
It will be highly appriciated if you tell us what drove you to the conclution that the pics above the ad caused the ban?

PS: Sorry abt your ac being banned.

The ad does look striking. But I think the TOS did say we cannot put anything above the ads.

Ive had little icons (slightly larger) images above all my adsense blocks since aug, I emailed google the site(s) url when I first started, and as stated in this forum many times the images are fine as long as you dont go hog wild, with flashing arrows that say click here, or any large, bright or etc ads that really draw attention to the ads, etc.
