If you are targetting, You could try Knownhost.com VPS
or If you do have that much traffic, I can get you a dedicated server.

If interested in KH, I can offer you affiliate link for them
and if you want affordable dedicated servers, check out my www.KMKhost.com (I offer 1 time rebates on Dedi)

    PM me.

Agree, knownhost is in the top-class, if not the best.
And there are many other top-class VPS, e.g. VPSLand, LiquidWeb, etc.

But for 100k member, I think you may need a dedicated server, e.g. HostGator, LiquidWeb, SoftLayer, etc.

I use to have a VPS with these guys and asways found them very reasonable: http://www.rackforce.com/

Their VPS come with 10Mbit unmetered port aswel (shared) so you don't need to worry about over usage charges. They also offer dedicated servers so when the time comes and you need to upgrade im sure they will be able to accomidate you.

Hi... go to best-webhosting-advice.com to get a list of hosting sites.

    I personally recommend An Hosting.

    You get:
    500 GB Disk Space
    5 TB/month Bandwidth
    cPanel w/Fantastico De Luxe, etc.
    Price: $6.95/month

I've used a number of Linux hosts until finally settling down with them. Their support is the best.

Check out the site I mention above but if you go with An Hosting, please use my affiliate link found at simpleonlinehelp.com.

Dedicated server for a forum that size. Try either Hostrocket, Versaweb (go through Kaung though), or Softlayer.

The reason why I said Kaung is because he lead me to an awesome company which has nice prices, plus he gives rebates :)

A dedicated server would be ideal to host such a forum. Do you have a planned budget for this requirement?

For UNLIMITED budget (if you true have), my suggestion is - buy google.com, use their clusters to host your forum. I believe their clusters are very good, if not the best ;) Just a joke.

    Below are my ideas:
    1. take a look at rackspace, their servers are expensive ($400+/mo), but also good managed and support. If your budget is enough, they may be a good choice.
    2. choose other most-used hosts, e.g. liquidweb, they have good reputation for good service and support. You may also want to take a look at SoftLayer, ThePlanet, HostGator, etc..

If one or two servers can not fulfill your request, you may want to take a look at the cluster approach, most active big websites do have their own clusters.

Also, you need to look at the DDOS protection.
