What type of sites work the best for Adsense?

Everybody says content driven sites, but on average, how many pages would you incorporate in a content site? 10-20 Articles? Less? More?

To those who have been well seasoned, what other kind of sites would you recommend? Games? Auction? Forums? Blogs? Please share.

Adsense in context based, so content sites works the best. The amount of pages will vary according to the topic of your site. For best results each article should have only one main focus eg. A site about cars will have a page for, wheels, engines, etc etc. One main focus for each page.

Which is exactly how a site should be structured for the user anyhow! Funny thing about search engines is that if it is good for the end user, it is normally good for the SE's as well.

Too true. Many of these things are just pure common sense. Put yourself in your users shoes. First built the site with users in mind, then build the site with revenue in mind.

Never, ever ever.... build a site with just revenue as your main purpose. At least not if you want a site that lasts and keeps getting visitors.

Thanks for the input, to be bluntly honest revenue is my #1 goal and I think even if I try to put the user-needs first it'll still be based on, and motivated by the return, or potential for return that I get. But without being too forward, for a topic that is mediocre in difficulty, how many pages should I aim for? any ideas?

    2000 should do it :)

Seriously though. It's very difficult to say. It will depend largely on the topic. As a rough estimate anything from 10 to 20 pages should be a good start, provided that each article is informative and has unique content.

Look at your successful competitors' sites and see how they're doing it. Then aim higher.

But realize they've probably had their sites up a lot longer than yours, so that's a long term goal. Just stay focused and slowly build up your content.

Do you guys think that it's better to START BIG and slowly work on each site or just do 1 at a time until it meets expectations and move on?

I also find that it is easier when you are passionate about what you are creating. It's alot easier to come up with unique concepts and content!

I like creating a nest of themed sites that I am knowledgable in the subject matter then adding content to each one regularly.

I think the original thread starter has made it clear here, and in another thread that he also started, that he doesn't have any passion for anything except making money. Which is his only goal. Period.

What he wants now is for someone to tell him what kind of site to make. He doesn't realize yet that no one is just going to come out and tell him because, frankly, if anyone has a good moneymaker that requires little work, why would they tell a complete stranger who will come into the field and compete with him.

I think the thread starter fails to realize this, and should just stop fishing for the quick and easy answer already.

and what's wrong with that? You have your goals and I have mine, don't criticize my ideas for what they are just the same as I won't with yours.
Give me a break here, so what if you tell me? Anybody can say a million and one things, does that mean that I will follow thru with them, absolutely no. Yes I'm looking for inspiration in this new venture for myself but don't be so conceited as to think that you're[and I use this generally] ideas apply to everybody, because they don't; and I'm sure that you got YOUR ideas from somewhere else as well.

Don't judge me for what I am, I can do just as well.

If you're interested in making money, then make a site that's about making money. There are lots of adsense tips here. And they could inspire articles. Do a search for "get rich" in google and you'll get lots of adverts for get rich schemes - more inspiration for new content. And finally, don't forget the junk mail that arrives through the letter box everyday. If you don't get enough, then sign up for a few of those free property seminars and investment courses. They'll soon be bombading you with promotional material.

After reading all that you'll know more about get rich quick schemes and could do reviews on each one. You could even attend those free seminars to get first hand experience.:)

    Good luck,

    fcmisc.
