What kind of site is best to choose for a main domain and what are its advantages?

    I'm planning a transfer to my new hosting. As it is going to be a shared hosting, and I have about 20 personal sites, I need to choose one as my main domain.

    I have two for my own company and the rest are about different sites with different niches, mostly for entertainment and information.

    So what is the best site/domain to choose for a main domain?

    The most/less visited one? The one for my company(which has nothing to do with web design) or some other?

    And what are the advantages/disadvantages of the main domain?

    I know one well.. sort of disadvantage of the main domain and that is the site which will be installed on it must be in a subfolder, because if its in the root everything else becomes a mess :)

    I prefer to have sites that have forums and other subdomains as "Addon Domains". It leads to less confusion. If you own your personal name domain, that is a good one to use for your main account.
