What kind of script would it take to offer free blogs on sub-domains?

Is it possible? If so what would I need to do?

there are some blog hosting scripts available (dunno if they are free - try look @ hotscripts.com) i have seen some about but cant think of them off hand

 

Here's a vote for plogworld.net, it worked better then WPMU when I tried to get a script like this up. I have it up and running

 

Looking at your Tuba site, it appears as though users cannot set up an account. Does this software make that a difficult task?
