My blog is about a rock band and I have pictures of the guys in the band without there shirts on. Is that against Adsense TOS? Is it considered partial nudity for a guy to not have his shirt on in my blog. I don't have any like that in there I wanted to find out if it is OK first.
They are performing in concert and they take there shirt off sometimes when up on stage in the pictures. I would think that would be OK. I'll ask adsense too though just to be on the safe side.
The relevancy(like mong said) makes me think it will not attract undue attention(those crazy rockstars). However AdsenseAdvisor once said that the use of "WOMEN" and "arrows" does attract undue attention so you may wish to ask Adsense on this one. I'm sure they take things like this on a site by site basis. If it fits into the theme I could not see them saying no. edit: Plus a shirtless guy for some reason does not scream "SEX" to me and I like looking at topless guys ;-).
I think you guys are misunderstanding the OP. I think he/she is saying she has picture galleries of the guys with their shirts off, not that he/she is using them to place next to the ads to draw attention. At least that's what I thought the question was concerning... OP?
That's right I wasn't going to use them to draw attention I just have purposely left those pictures out of my blog thinking Adsense might have a problem with them. They are related to the content of the site. The ones I wanted to use is the lead singer and he's up on stage with a microphone in his hand singing. So it would display him performing in concert. Which would be relavent to the blog which is all about the band. I wouldn't call undue attention to the picture more just talk about them performing in concert beside the picture which is what is going on in the picture. He is a pretty hot looking rock star though so it might just draw attention only because of that. Or maybe that's just me that drools over the pictures...lol. But when it comes right down to it, it's just a guy without his shirt on. How should I handle it should I place the picture on my blog and then write adsense so they can look at it in there? It scares me to purposely have adsense look at my blog. I hear about so many people getting banned on here.
I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's perfectly okay as long as they're not doing anything overtly sexual in the picture.
I am not sure about that...as I wrote before I had this site deactivated and warned to edit my other blog because of what I thought were basic pictures of women in bikinis etc. Mind you the site that was banned/deactivated was an adsene publishing site for months before I was warned and I had in fact posted even less revealing pictures when it was approved. That leads me to speculate that there is an earning amount that triggers and audit of your site. If you are earning 500 or less per month I dont thing Google truly cares what you are doing.
Well since I have only made about $3.00 total I'm probably not one of the people they are concerned about or will even notice. I am finally getting more views on my blog though but no clicks.
There is a big difference between models/women in bikinis posing (usually seductively) and male band members on stage singing with their shirt off.
I agree that you probably have nothing to worry about, but you should get in touch with AdSense Support to get their input - that's the only way you'll really know for sure. Sam
