I have been wondering about what types of people click adsense adds, because I can't remember myself ever clicking one ... FOP
Cos' you know what they are. I would say people who click ad's are the people who dont know they are actual advertisments / people who just like the sound of the description.
Well, sorry! i also dont know . I am also wondering...... I personally never click Google-Ads even if they are much attractive.
Those that mistook the blending ads as one of our site links.. OR When the ads provide something that is useful but cannot find in our sites
I was always thinking, what if more and more people know of Adsense? Wont that be the end of Adsense...if the whole world knows of it? Then we would have to find another means to earn money LOL. And life as a webmaster is gonna be harder then. I never believed its a good idea to tell ordinary (those who didnt know before) people about internet business or Adsense or anything remotely like that. Webmasters should just stick together. We are the sellers, the world is the buyer, lets maintain the status quo. FYI, I do click Adsense ads...
I guess as said before people who just like the sound of the description or have accidentally clicked on them, or tricked?
1. People who get interested with the ads (if I'm interested, I just type the URL rather than clicking ) 2. People who doesn't know it's an Adsense ad. 3. Girls and teenagers. Is this really true? Anyone can provide a proof on this one? 4. People who are less-internet savvy.
I have a lot of sites, but I notice that the CTR is highest on 2 sites that are targeted for woman older then 40. They don't see the difference between ADS and real site content. On those sites I have a CTR between 35% and 50% without cheating.
I would agree that most people have this kinda thinking.. But if you find something interesting then you should click on it. It wont be spammy ad coz the other person is paying to display this ad. Moreover it is this what keeps the internet free so you should support this by clicking ads when you genuinely feel interested. You don't want everyone on your site to ignore your ads so how can you do that intentionally to others. Doesnt matter if the other person earns a few cents more becoz of you. He isnt taking it from your pocket.
If the ads is related for what you are searching why not to click it ? why not also to let the webmaster benefit ? what do you loose ? nothing i had the same opinion be4 and i never wanted to click on ads , i even started to copy - past the google link to check if the url is available or just type the url in browser ... but why to do so ? just click it .... let google benefir , let the webmaster benefit and so on
Most of the world knows about advertisements in some form, and it doesn't stop advertisers from advertising - at the end of the day it is advertising the existence of something that people may not know exists. In many cases, PPC model is better than CPM model as it is paid only on results/visitors. Although results may well be disputed and ROI substantially different throughout the industry. In saying that, many people have already came across adsense before adsense existed... in the form of classifieds. Google took the idea of classifieds and made it much more appealing to put it on a PPC revenue model as well as making it dynamic and offering publishers the chance to display. They could have gone with google classifieds but redefined the market as they were taking it beyond classifieds and felt it made sense to give it a new name.
My medical blogs have CTR compared to other blogs. This may be due to the appearance of relevant ads and not tech savvy visitors.
I click on ads if its related to what Im searching for. Makes sense. I dont care who pays and who gets the money. Its quickr searching for me and time = money
