I'm wondering, when someone links to something such as www.domain.com/?extra=crap&here=andhere, what kind of PageRank is actually passed on? Is there any pagerank passed on to the base URL or how does it work, officially?

Check to see if the link is showing up as a backlink. If it is, there's a good chance there is PR transfer.

I've looked at some of my sites that have those kind of backlinks but they aren't showing up under Google at all, even though they are links back to my site. They are links such as index.php?id=XX&type=XX

I recon that those sites don't pass pr ... Google find it hard to crawl dynamic webpages... but if those pages are converted lo static pages then it would pass on pr to the linking pages...

yes, I'm aware of that. But I'm wondering if ANY pagerank is passed on at all when using dynamic links with the ? variable and such. I find it hard to believe that nothing at all would be passed on, but I'm not sure. anyone with definitive knowledge of this have an answer?
