what kind of links are there?

I am a bit confused as Imy site (1st in sig) is showing as having around 1000 backlinks from Yahoo but none from Google or MSN.

I actually have quite a few backlinks from directories, blog posts, article submissions, blog/siote content, forums etc etc some are link exchange but quite a few are one way.

Is there something I should do to make Google recognise them?

No, just wait for Google and MSN to make a backlink update.

 

google takes months to update backlinks to become visible... just be patient.... by the time the next pr update comes around you should be able to see where you stand.

 

I would suggest doing social bookmarking for some of incoming links to your website

It seems like you have some high quality backlinks, however, you should remember
that google only shows a small portion of your backlinks, and it also takes a while
before they show them. If you continue building backlinks your links will eventually
show up in google.
