What kind of Link Development is best?

Please advice with giving weight and importance as to why which of the following is best link development strategy

1) One Way Link - Blog ?
2) One Way Link - Forum ?
3) One Way Link - Articles ?
4) One Way Link - Directories ?
5) One Way Link - Related Niche Sites?

6) Reciprocal Link - Same Niche ?
7) Reciprocal Link - Different Niche ?

8) 3 Way Linking ?

If any other link development methods is missed, please do advice and advice which one is best.

One way related niche sites are the best and forum signature links are the worst. If you are going for PR instead of SERPs then it does not really matter as long as the page with your backlink has PR.

 

For me number 1, 2, 4 are great one way links.....And by the social bookmarking also a good one way link....

 

I prefer systems like Receive Links.

It is very much like three way linking but it keeps track of your links placed for you and replaces the links if becomes un-cached or link missing.

I also like I can place flags to only give and/or get links from sites in the came categories as mine.

 

all the one way link building options are good because every link has different weigths .

having all types of backlinks will avoid from serp changes

 

I used to do all the 8 methods.Usually I did't stop my link building.When I stop the SERP begins to fall down.

 

Reciprocal links in the same niche, or (preferably), related but non-competitive niche can still bring decent quality traffic.

 

I think same niche is important then comes directories because they have many niches you can choose from.

 

5) is the best for your serp.
But just for PageRank you can simply check the PR of each page to determin whether it has some value for you.
