Please go here and let me know. Too bad it doesn't factor in 'real' English but then again, it's not hard imagining Weirfire speak (like).

So please let us know your main accent.

    I get this
    45% General American English
    35% Yankee
    15% Dixie
    5% Upper Midwestern
    0% Midwestern
    Code (markup):
But then I had never heard of some of those words...

I'm bordering on 'Real' English when I want to make the effort of hiding my Dutch background.

Well, there is no choice for the way I´d say some of those things. I guess those Americans with Scottish roots have forgotten some of the of the old parliamo.

For one thing we never said pop, soda or coke, we said ginger and ´a blow off´was a polite reference to flatulence.

As a Texan, I would never say I spoke Dixie English. I speak a southern dialect. We were taught to say, "yes Mam, yes Sir etc." Favorite southern phrase is "bless her heart." You can say nearly anythinig about anyone if you include that phrase.

    What would have determined 'Midwest'?

I heard a little girl say that in Kentucky. It's great!

    "Well bless his little heart!"

Just took this test- I think it may be correct cause people dont' understand me much.

    How Normal Are You?

    You Are 35% Normal
    (Occasionally Normal)

You sure do march to your own beat...
But you're so weird, people wonder if it's a beat at all
You think on a totally different wavelength
And it's often a chore to get people to understand you

AC I got to see what you get....

Hmmmm....so funnie to hear others comments. I guess I took "TPing" all these years for granted. How can you have a childhood without toilet papering someone's house??? :D

I have to admit though...I heard people arguing about 'jimmies' awhile back and I had no idea what they were talking about. We always called them sprinkles.

    10% Dixie
    10% Upper Midwestern

As a native California girl I wanted to know why it didn't include an option for that. So sad. Show me a 35 year old who gives direction in hours (not mileage), says "stoked", and pronounces milk as "melk"...and I'll show you someone who grew up in California.

I do say y'all though. Ten years in Oklahoma and I'm a mashup of bastard English.

    Funny that I'm 0% Midwestern.
