What kind of effect do you think that blogs have on politics?

    That's a rather long and finely focused question. Not sure I would word it that way (please don't follow up by asking how I would word it), but I do believe for the most part I provided what you were looking for, no? I do believe both instances had effects on politics. In the Rathergate example, it was clear their motive was to try and prevent the re-election of Bush and in the end, it not only did not prevent such, but those responsible were fired and/or ultimately resigned in disgrace.

    I remember publically saying that CBS supported terror.. Dan Rather and CBS's affiliation with his tactics are a fine example that supports that assertion.
