Hello: I have seen in my referers this: http://www.activity-director.info An strange copy of my directory: http://www.thebroadest.com And when you click on any part of that site you go to a page that only shows ads and strange generated articles????
It seems some one has copied some part of your database and then manipulated the linked pages with google ads and RSS feed. May be you should contact your hosting partner...
this is interesting, not seen this before. But if its just the source code, where did they get the graphics from?? Is there something that can be done abt this, like informing G or something?
No way to contact him/her There is no contact link or email. I don't know if I have to contact G to tell them I don't have nothing to do with them, because I don't want that kind of backlinks.
i'll be VERY surprised if there was any kind of 'contact me' function available on his website... haha. Suggest u to drop G an email and hope for the best.
Don't waste your time trying to contact the owner. He knows what he did. The site is hosted by Hostgator.com; contact them and file a DMCA notice of infringement and have access to the infringing content disabled.
Thanks for the advice. I have wrote to hostgator.com It's not difficult to prove the copy, they even haven't deleted the footer where there are links to the directory.
You'll likely have to fax a notice to their DMCA agent or legal dept. Shouldn't be too much of a problem. Good luck with getting it taken down.
Hostgator has suspended the account Thank you Creed and the rest of you who have answered to this post.
Wow, Hostgator are pretty quick eh? They seem to be on the ball when it comes to infringements, that's great to see
You're welcome, glad I could help with the info. Good to hear it was taken down quickly. Tip: You might want to watch for it to reappear at a different host. Keep a watch on the whois.
