The best way for budget PC's and at the same way you can get the best peripherals that suited to your liking
Funny how some people have seen the C-64 but never heard of the vic-20. Ya, I had them both. Didn't have the money to go up to the 128 or Amigo though. I don't think I ever seen one of the 1040's like that one. What year was that?
I have an custom-built server for my business, 3 custom-built PCs, an Asus laptop and an older Acer laptop.
As of now, I'm running on a rather cheap -- but robustly built -- Acer 3050. I'm thinking of buying a new laptop in the next year or two, however.
2 Laptops refurbished P3 + New Core @ duo... I have also a refurbished desktop PC, enough for my requirements
desktop about 4 years old: HP 3.2 dual core (I suppose it compares to 1.7 x2) 2 gb, 250 gb HD, 22 in screen, updated video card(can't remember what I put in at least 512mb) laptops: HP TX2513CL - TABLET with AMD dual 2.0 3GB ram 250 GB hd, touch screen that folds over into a tablet or laptop. old HP amd 1500 1.3 - 1 gb ram - don't use anymore I ended up with all HP in my office and not that I care about HP, just was most affordable for what I wanted. Have my oldest son's new macbook as well, but not sure if it can do anything productive.....
