What kind of ads are these ?

I was browseing the net, searching for reviews of my softwares, and suddenly I found this strange ads:
http://www.download-by.net/company/adolix.html

Bothe right and bottom ads are not "normal". If you go with the mouse over the links, the browser shows you where they point to... which is not done by "normal" ads.

What kind of ads are these ? Is this a premium publisher ? How the heck did this unknown site get this kind of ads ?

This unknown download site has PR7 so it might be a premium publisher. It migh be as well (and probably is) owned by some bigger download site since many of these are often owned by one publisher.

 

Hmm, interesting.. It looks like they construct adsense ads manually. Exploring http://www.download-by.net/template/adsense.js (show_sec_adsense)..

 

I've found another site using similar javascript technique (page example: http://www.factbites.com/topics/AdSense). They all have implemented google_ad_request_done function (with comments in it!). Maybe it's a hack, maybe they are the premium publishers.

 

These are premium publishers. Check the one at softpedia.com - they also have their ads css-styled.
