What keywords does a site rank for?

First off, I don't know if this is possible, but it would be an excellent tool if it were.

Does anyone know of a tool to find out which keywords your site ranks for? Before anyone refers me to the DP keyword tool, hear this out.

I know there are tools out there where you tell the tool what keyword to search for and it tells you your ranking.

I am looking for a tool where you tell it the domain, and it returns the keywords your site ranks for in the search engines. Maybe it would use the keywords in the Meta tags to search the SE's. Having a tool like this would allow us to find new keywords our sites are ranking for, and in many cases, keywords we wouldn't have thought we would rank for.

Once again, I am not sure this would even be possible, but it would be fantastic if it would.

I don't think we'll be seing a public tool anytime soon that does that. First of all, it takes a bit of time to scan for on keyword. Image how long it would take if a server where to scan a page, gather all keywords used in it, then serp-scan for each single on of them. And then again, you can picture 20 monkeys using this tool.

The tool is easy to make, but I don't think anyone would want to throw away so much server-usage. Or would you maybe want to pay for it?

The server usage is the problem I was thinking as well. And I probably would pay for it if it was reasonable. It would be an invaluable tool.

That will very difficult without giving keywords query. The tool must be very smart enough to do the job. Or must have a big DB backup.

Provide me two fast servers then I may make one tool like that but I do not think there are going to have many users.

This tool already excists.... I use it every day :)
It auto grabs the keywords listed in the c-panel for each domain and then checks how you rank for thoose on Google, Yahoo and MSN.. I t also creats a keyword list from these words..
Since the keywords anyone has used to find you are there it is simple.. this tool also checks indexed pages, traffic, PR, spider visits.. Ohh, did I mention it can load all the domain info from your account by itself.. AND do auto FTP on 100's of domains at the same time :))

What else does it do..?.. Ohh well you just hit a button and it checks ALL your domains, on every hosting account.. and get ALL the info for you.. so on the "front page" of the program you can see how many pages you have indexed in total over your network, how many domains you have, how many have traffic.. and what domains have been indexed lately..

Im sure it does a whole bunch of other things too that I havent found out yet...

Yes it is possible. You can try http://www.seocompany.ca/tool/keyword-ranking/. All you have to do is to enter your domain and one keyword of your specific niche. It will then grab all the 100 keywords for which your sight might be ranking.

    Hope you like it.
