    Not considering the other issues like titles, long tail phrases, h1 tags, etc, keyword density is quite an important factor when you want to attract the attention of the search engines. Of course the gurus have a fixed ratio and they are all consistant in what they say about keyword density.
    how to maintain that proportion so that I can have the maximun profit out of that in standing through the google run..?

    below 5 is the best. all the tools say that its Good but for me its the best. in one of my page its 7+ but its also not creating any kind of problem.

    I ignore keyword density, I think its irrelevant. Just write for users and make sure to include your target keywords.
