lol you're never going to rank well for this forum if you're just starting out....my advice is to pick one subject (preferable a niche) and start with that.

    cheers,

I agree with marcus. You likely won't get much traffic or rankings with such a forum. Niche websites do much better because it is easy for the search engines to see what the entire website's theme is. If you are covering 10+ unrelated topics, your website probably does not have a central theme.

Some general forums do well, but they take much longer to get established. Usually this type of forum is an extension of an existing successful website.

If you really want to proceed with such a forum, don't worry so much about keywords for your homepage...in your case the best you can hope for is a homepage keyword like 'men's forum' or 'general forum'. Instead worry about keywords for each forum topic page. Treat each of those topic pages as a separate website with separate keywords.

There are already a lot of forums on the internet for those topics which you have mentioned. Try to be unique and create a forum in a niche which already doesn't have a forum, but has a large following. You can target these people and really tap into what they want.

getting ranked for forum and sites/blogs are not the same. sites/blogs have content that you can write with certain keyword density in mind. forums dont offer that option and is dependant on user generated content. i'm assumning you have different sub-forums for different topics in which case you need to get each of the sub-forum ranking high on search engines. getting your forum busy would be good as more people use your forum, more content you will have and more often googlebot will visit your forum. you can also build backlinks to the main forum and each sub-forums with your anchor text. if you are using vbulletine, then adding vbseo would help also

    use <meta name="robots" content="index,follow" />
..google can fetch any keyword from the site.

I think you should focus on some long tail keywords because it will be easier to
    rank well for newer sites.

These keywords are way too competitive, and really forum is a wrong choice to begin with. You may want to first get youor prioritize right on what you want.
