I would agree with much of what he says, but I would say that it applies to offline businesses as well. Business Link in the UK believe that the 3 year marker is the key one, if you make it to 3 years then you can say that your business has been a success. Of course, if you are subsidising the business for 3 years and it turns in a loss every year including the 3rd one then you probably should give up on it. You really need to see a profit from the business itself, (i.e. income is > than overheads), in the first year and look to recoup start-up costs over a longer period, (the 3 years). Laz
