[To moderator: I don't know if this is the right place to post this. But if it's not, please remove this to where it should be]

I always wanted to know what it takes to be a forum moderator? I'm interested to this kind of job and wanted to know more about it. Do you need some certificates to do this job? And how much can you earn from this job.

    So lets see:

    Its not :)

You have to be a nerd + cool + responsible + angel (at least patience of an angel)

    Same as above.

    Nothing. Nada. Zip. Nientes.

ROFL. you made it really clear right there.. i guess being a moderator is considered a privilege rather than a job..:D but some pay you for it though.. maybe just some bonuses or something.

    1) Patience - above all
    2) Knowledge of both the rules, and the community
    3) High level of people skills, and good writing ability.
    4) Willing to work for free (sadly, at most sites, even big ones making lots of money)
    5) Typically, the best ones are forum junkies, with a lot of time spent posting in forums

You could just start your own forum ;)
Then you'd even get paid :p

lol yeah all moderators should get a salary- I actually just read an article from 2005 where dp was bringing in $10k a month from adsense- the wealth must be shared- j/k that probably barely covers the servers
