    If you get your work based on forums and pretty much any online means Foreigners have plagued the market by charging $5 or less per hour. You also have to keep in mind people who are using forums are not small or medium sized companies, mostly kids and people who don't have two dimes to rub together. Now if you get a job in city limits working on-site that is a different story and that is what salary.com is basing their estimate on.

    Whatever you could potentially earn doing in another job. e.g. I am doing a degree in management and will hopefully train to be a management consultant. The hourly rate from a management consultant +10% would be nice.

    yeah for sure wages on the net are generally way lower than USA day job salaries. But hey, this is more enjoyable and you can work any hour you want in your own way.

    Exactly, I agree. It's hard to be accurate telling how much time your time is worth, because you never know how much take for example promoting x keyword will bring in in revenue in the future. :cool:

    My time needs to be worth about $10/hours but right now, it's much less! :D
