Hello, What do you think about whitesmoke writing enhancement software? I am not a native English speaking writer, so I was planning on a software which could point out some of my basic grammatical mistakes. Has anyone used it? The general version sells for around 40$. Do you think its good?
Wow, that's strong. What is wrong with it? I've no ties to it in any way, just wondering why you feel so strongly about it.
I am wondering too... Read some reviews on the internet... Not bad it seems... But, I want the opinion of someone who has used it already
YMC, I had used the trial version. 1) It could not trap fragmented sentences. 2) It could not trap improper questions. 3) It could not trap passive voice. In one sentence I juggled around with the words a bit, using `to' in place of `too' and `lose' with `loose'... it could not trap them. There were many more such instances.
That was indeed a bad showing. I had assumed it would at least flag instances of to and loose for further review. Guess not.
Why not try out the trial yourself? I am amazed at the quality of the product, especially after the huge amount they are spending on promoting it. Plus it has been around for quite some years. It is best for those who do not know the English language properly. (not that I claim to)
I just checked it out again using their online demo. My original: My pants are to loose too fit my waste properly? Whitemoke suggests: My pants is to lose to fit my waste properly? Try for yourself at: http://www.whitesmoke.com/free-online-checker Code (markup):
Guess they should be paying me for free publicity!!! Anyway as per other reviews I have heard I am no going for it
