I'm happy with my religion although I believe in it, even if it is not true I am happy with the guidelines I live my life by, I am healthy and fit and happy so I wouldnt change it

Yea, actually a child cannot really reject ideas taught to them. But a parent, because he believes what he believes is true and good, would teach his beliefs and values to his/her children. I thought about it before, can't really stop them unless we have some kind of anti-religious government. Then again, by then, we would not need to have this discussion because we would have moved on to an age where religions are a thing of the past. As an atheist, I could tolerate religion as long as no harm is done, but I would prefer if there is no religion.
Yes, it would need to be a national movement to render children religious teaching illegal, allow religion such as alcohol, driving, porn or marriage, after a specific age. That would help tremendously in reducing the influence of religions on people. Because a fucked up brain at a young age will make the individual more likely to believe in other impossible things. I mean if someone has accepted since childhood that supranatural things occurs then anything is possible.
