    I really like to logo, but if it already exists you maybe should change 'cut' into 'slash', 'scratch' or something like that.

    This is Looks Good but did you tried this logo on various background ?

    Try some diffrent background colors. and the font of "media" looks blury. So Sharp font can help you.

    Why not put a render of scissors in this design? you know? angle them and do some angle editing to make them look like they are actually cutting the word. Maybe put a drop shadow on them and run a couple gradients to blend.

    Just an idea
