    For horror I suggest your try Alan Wake and maybe Cleve Barkers Jericho. These were the titles I enjoyed in the genre recently, the new RE - not so much.
    For first person action Borderlands will be my favourite, esp if there are a couple of friends willing to play coop. RPG elements there rock and action is nice as well. 3rd person action will be god of war and Assasins Creed.

    RTS - Starcraft 2 is all i have played in a while but i sometimes still go back to CIvilization 4.
