This Poll is the ultimate in being optimistic that Directory Owners will reveal their revenue streams

I wish you luck in getting feedback :)

So far I have a negative income on my directory because it is new and everything I make, plus extra, goes back into it.

Quite a few successful ones here it seems, however, income is far from revenue :(

I have nice revenue but no income, all revenue and a litle more is reinvested.
    Should have the -$1. -$3,000 option :D

I am not sure what you will achieve with this poll.
Some make good money, others, (most), don't make much from it.
Some are free and have a more long term plan.

But given the amount of work needed for an up-and-running directory, (i.e. already well promoted), it has a good return.

The barrier to entry for directories is way too low. Also, directories don't provide enough value in most cases to command a high price. Only maybe two are worth any kind of paid placement at all. If a directory wanted to make some bank, they would provide other services for the submission cost. For example, maybe a free listing on other affiliated sites/pages. As a webmaster you are better off spending your time putting up a spamsense blogger blog and killing MSN with it. Directories are so 10 years ago.
