On this machine, I'm running 1280x1024, on my other machine (which uses a CRT monitor, but at least it's big and clear) I run in 1600x1200.

    Hi,

My Dell Inspiron laptop runs at 1920x1200.

In my experience, most users are running at 1024x768, but of course you should cater for your niche.

For example, if you're targetting the 'silver surfer' crowd, it's more common than not to see resolutions of 800x600

Graphics people will normally have resolutions in the 2000's.

I run 1024 x 768 on my 19" desktop monitor and 1024 x 768 on my 17" laptop. I've tried higher resolutions but always seem to come back to these settings.

Two 23 Inchers? wow nice. I have two 17 inch LCDs myself. Must be awesome to have two 23 inchers. I use 2560x1024 resolution, but most common is 1024x768

22" flat panel set to 1680x1050.

However, the general rule for website design is no less that 1024x768. In terms of design, I also like to set my content area at 1024 pixels (using css & <div>) and center the content on the page.

In that way, content appears consistent regardless of whether it is a standard display or wide-screen.
