Okay, so you've just started a new website, everything's set up and ready. But you haven't advertised at all, you have no traffic. What's your plan? What do you do first? And what next? I've never had much success with getting traffic or members. So it'd be great if people could share their complete marketing plans.
That question was probably a little vague, so, what marketing strategy has been most susccessful for you? Forum/blog posting, hiring SEO pros, buying ad space, etc.?
For me personally...SEO and forums seem to bring the highest quality traffic in addition to a solid backlinking strategy. Social bookmarking would probably come after these...for me.
Your question is really a little vague. Social media marketing, forum marketing, article marketing, etc. All in all, all these common marketing strategies are useful and worth trying.
Honestly? The very first thing I would do is e-mail every single person I know and let them know about the new website. From there I'd move on to directory listings and then try some forum posting in relevant forums. After that it's a smorgasboard of tactics and methods--you just have to try your hand at everything and eventually you will figure out what really works for you. For some forum posting and blogging is all they need to do. For others they get a ton of traffic from article and e-mail marketing. Don't be afraid to make mistakes. Just jump in there. Good luck!
The first thing I did is post it on social networking sites then I started off page optimization to have a good position in search engine. Article marketing is also very effective. Do every possible good things to advertise.
Don't forget its not just the what to do but also the when to do. Don't try and do everything at once - ensure a slow but steady increase in traffic. Start with the easy, high return stuff and then as time goes on start thinking about more targetted stuff.
I will try SEO & SEM strategy to increase traffic to my new website. SEM is costly than SEO but give instant traffic and it is worth. I will spend enough on both to increase business.
Getting the best marketing plan is everyone's dream in obtaining the right audience to our products but it is can be a daunting problem if you run this the wrong way.
Forums, post decent and valuable responses to threads within your niche area. Soon you'll establish a sort of expert status and in time, followers will come knocking. For instance if you have a site that sells skin care, i don't sell skin care by the way, hit some forums where woman and men who care about their skin may visit. Find a post where they are talking about looking younger and stuff like that. Then your magic begins, post a very valuable thread response upon some of the things you do that helps make you look younger, in time they'll want to know more about you via your signature, hey presto.
i am too with no success with traffic building. I have spend much time in forum, blogposting, social bookmark submitting but got no results but instead i always get high page rank.
