As the title suggests, please post your link building strategy when promoting a new site. Please include the weighting or time you spend on each seo technique and tell us which method you find the most effective. Ill start: 1) Place site in DP sig (takes 2 mins) 2) Submit site to 200 ish free directories (takes 1 hour) 3) Post USEFUL comments on related blogs (done daily for about 1 hour) 4) Exchange links with related sites (30 mins/day) 5) Write and submit an article to 2 or 3 directories (45 mins) 6) If relevant to site niche: Write a press release / social bookmarking. The most effective methods appear to be good old link exchanges, blog posts and article submissions. What do you do differently and why?
setup site in linkvault, 15mins work, links are then built with relevant anchor text on a daily basis automatically see blog link above for more detail on this method.
This is not a link building, but it helps with ranking your site. Create unique content and place it on your website, include an anchor tag that points to another unique article on your site. These articles can only be on your site and not distributed. Keep adding a 1-2 new articles each week. Use different keywords that you want to rank for. Remember to make the title and description different for each article, don't use the same template which has the same title and description for all. Make sure your keywords are in the title for that particular article. I hope this helps This should take 20-40 minutes a week Cheers
I don't do any of these, they just don't work. The best thing is to create some viral content and then seed it on social networking sites. As you can see from this post my new site got 4000 high quality links in the first week and 31,000 visitors without me spending anything on marketing.
1. Create great content that readers will enjoy and come back for. 2. Drop some social BMs. 3. Create a few "for whomever" articles and submit them to 1-2 places. 4. Look for a couple relevant places to submit my site to. 5. Go back to creating great content. Stellar content has a way of getting links for you without any extra work.
i also work on wordpress themes and blogger templates. i recieved hundreds backlinks in just 4 days after uploading my wordpress theme.
I usually focus on these two tactics: 1. create content that people like to link 2. create superb content, and then make press releases and ask others to link to the superb content
Let's see. Image gallery spam (5 minutes, first install, & keyword setup) Forum posting spam (15 min daily) Trackback spam (10 min to setup, keyword setup) Usually start ranking in the next couple days after indexing of more than 1 page.
I think the most useful is getting links naturally from other places and buying a few strong, relevant llinks from other sites.
