What is your Keyword Choice criteria??

OK This question is coming in mind for last two weeks. I'm doing a lot of keyword research for few niche affiliate sites but I'm really not sure about keyword selection.

I mean for example, I find a Keyword with monthly searches of 30k and Competition is 60K, But I'm still not sure if this keyword is good or bad...I also Cheack the competitive competition but I could get the end result.

Any body help me with there numbers and there experience. What is your ideal KEI?? how much competition and for how much searches??

Also I want to promote my sites only by SEO so I think right keywords are very important.

    Regards

This is a very important question arcguy. Everyone has his own criteria by which he can measure the effectiveness of keywords, but I think when your site is just in the beginning don't expect to rank in Google just by choosing a keyword and build backlinks to your site. I think that 30k search and 60k competitive sites is a very good keyword. You just need to submit your site in popular web 0.2 sites and article directories. This will recommend your site to rank high in a short time. By the way I managed to beat more than 56 million competitive sites and ranked my site in the #3 result by using this method. Good luck.

I agree it is very hard to find but I didn't mean that. we can say 5000 search volume and 10000 competitive sites. This is the BEST you can find after a long struggle. This is never easy.

    hi.........
The presence of that keyword placed strategically across the site is a factor in determining whether or not the site is ranked high in a search on sites like Yahoo.
