it's the phone company dude, they're not going to offer you faster for cheaper. I meant ASDL < Cable < Sat as far as pricing goes
887 kilobits per second, 108 kilobytes per second $60.00 a month. The phone company out here has a monopoly it's $60 a month or go back to 56k dialup.
Most providers care about profits not users. They just want you to sign up for that 12 month contract. They sell using terms like "speeds up to" and "unlimited", In reality your speed will very rarely get to the promised speed unless it way past normal peoples bedtime even then lots of people wait till then to use it so it no faster and as for unlimited, some place in the small print there is a fair usage policy which usually leaves it up to the ISP to decide what fair usage is, so its not unlimited either.. Someone has to pay for the technology upgrades even the non existent ones i mentioned here and thats you and I the end users. Sad but true..
It’s very unfortunate; I’m assuming they’re from third world nations? I wouldn’t expect that from Western nations!
that would drive me nuts I could never go back to dial up see! that's crazy...3 for $30, then why not 9 for $90 or really in actuality 9 < 90...a little bit of an incentive to choose the higher speed!!
