    Hell, I would like a strong # 2 before I worry about # 5

On my research sites 95% of the referrals are from Google.

Yahoo and MSN I may see a few every now and then.

I use Ask Jeeves when I have an actual question to ask that cannot be compressed into a three-word phrase. I once entered a line from a song that was written about 20 years ago and they gave me all the information I needed - and didn't think I would get.

Mamma just bought Copernic, is this correct?

Mark Cuban had an interest in Mamma also, then he funded IceRocket.

Search is hot, but who will gain on Google  Dogpile and their parent company InfoSpace is a hot company as far as technology is concerned but they have made little impact in market share gains.

It is hard to fight Google and Yahoo and Uncle Bill

Well I just had a looksee on one little site and, apart from the diversity of regional Google centres, it looks like Alta Vista is my #5, though after the regionals it's really #18.

! ! - when you gonna be in the thread as well as starting it? :D

Here's a snip from my stats in December 2004 This is a well established site that's been online since 1999...

From a total of 594,790 search engine referals...

    Google - 337,866
    Yahoo - 93,572
    MSN Web Search - 45,662
    Altavista - 8,475
    AOL - 3,690
    All the web - 1,949
    Netscape - 1,545

The rest come in at less than a 1,000. But these are the ones that we care about the most ;)
