    What is your favorite link building technique?

    Mine is to post in forum related to my niche, write link bait articles and to submit in directories.

    For me it's to link build in directories, blog posts on splogs and better quality blogs, forum sig links, references in relevant forums via a bit of unintentional link bait, and a little social bookmarking.

    Basically a bit of everything see's me alright :eek:

    Yes, but not only....sharing experience with other people from your niche can lead to some interesting ways of receiving one way links.

    It would seem that blog posts are the quickest, but how can you tell uf you are getting a backlink from a certain blog?

    I have used 3 techniques:
    -Active blog posts by promoting myself as an expert and having the signature link to myself.
    -Outright asking bloggers to write about me
    -Offering product giveaways to other sites

    The one that has been most successful happened by chance when i reached the digg frontpage

    So now I hold the social bookmarking exposure at great value and write some article specifically from thier audience.

    Also I submit my site to atleast a 500 directories to begin with

    Spam Blogs - You make your own, there are shed loads off free places across different platforms. But rumour has it that BIG-G is cracking down on Blogger Splogs. ;)
