Joomla; for the mods and plugins, but not for the resource hog. I want to try my hands on Drupal someday.
There are tons. Bigace is nice, CMS Made Simple is a wonderful choice, Silverstripe. There are tons and tons of options available. Mike cmstester.com
word press and joomla are best. Joomla is more powerful in terms of the platform and extension librart that he has. On the other hand wordpress is excellent personal blogging web tool
It's gotta be Joomla for big sites and Wordpress for blogs/mini sites. I'm keen to have a blast with modx though
CMS Made Simple works great for my content websites. You can set up a website on this CMS in no-time. Besides that it's easy to expand it by installing additional modules. For my bigger websites which require more customization I use PHP frameworks like Symfony anyway. But the most important feature of this CMS is that it's really straightforward for non-technical people like my customers in my opinion.
It really depends on what you needs are and what you want to do Simple Relatively Easy to Learn...go with wordpress, my first CMS Now if you want a powerful scalable platform with stunning versatility, and you are pretty comfortable with basic php, definitely go with Drupal and don't look back.
