What is your favorite affiliate program?

I'm a bit displeased with affiliate programs (cough clickbank cough) as many scam you and never pay you, or only pay you after you reach a certain amount 9348 months later, etc.

I pretty much gave up on all affiliate programs a few years ago, but am curious if anything has improved...

Has anyone found a good, solid affiliate program that pays well, pays in a timely manner, doesn't scam you, etc.? If so, what do you recommend?

If you're having a hard time reaching the minimum, stick with a network which can give you multiple campaign options. If you're new to the affiliate market, you might want to try and wet your feet with CPA ads instead of per-sale merchants. Easier to convert leads than sales.

My favorite is in my signature, but what fits me might not fit you.

What niches you're looking for or any other criteria?

What I have found in the last 10 years of sending traffic to affiliate programs is this.

Testing is key. I always reserve a decent amount of my traffic to use for testing new affiliate programs. Eventually you will find gold. Also, dont rely on the conversion stats that affiliate programs give you. Rely on YOUR stats. Too many affiliate programs out there play with the hits to make thier program look better as far as conversion goes.

Some new affiliate programs are well funded and throw alot of money out the door to attract more affiliates. Find these are rake it in while you can. Almost always this "honeymoon period" goes away.

I agree 100% that testing is the key. What works well for some ... may not work for others, depending on the niche that their website's audience serves.

I also subscribe to the idea (where affiliate programs are concerned) that less IS more. In the past 6 years I have my favorites which are CJ (Commission Junction), Sharasale.com, Linkshare, Performics, MaxBounty, Axill, Incent-A-Click, Affiliate Fuel, and Kolimbo. All of these programs have performed very, very well for us :)

I have to agree with Sandy & Sunchy, the program is just well managed!

Lilly, those are all great programs. Shareasale always pays on time and I never had a problem with them. I never tried MaxBounty before, but i am hearing a lot of good things about them. Maybe it's time to sign up to MaxBounty.

I love Shareasale. The conversions are great and they pay monthly like clockwork (same as CJ). MaxBounty is OK. Sometimes there are 'slim pickins' for good campaigns to promote. If you do decide join MaxBounty, be sure to test the affiliate links you DO choose to promote. Sometimes, the landing pages seem to change without notice and I've also experienced allot of spammy merchants that barrage your visitors with popups on their site—once they click on your affiliate link.

I've also noticed that the campaigns expire, what seems to be way too quickly with no email notice. This makes it rather difficult to maintain the dead links it causes--in a 5000+ page Web Directory :/

Thanks Lilly. I signed up with MaxBounty, so lets see how it goes. One thing, I don't want my visitors to experience all these popups, so I will take your advice and test all the affiliate links I put on my site.

Also, I am going to start doing way more with Shareasale. Wonderful company!

Maxbounty is just like azoogle and other CPA affiliate networks. They have offers that pay you per lead, they range from free ipods, to ringtones, to surverys, to freebies, to loan signups etc..

I use maxbounty and highly reccomend them

Hi MissHoney. We are a CPA network and have offers that pay per action (either lead or sale). We have 100s of offers ranging from freebies and surveys to product samples and financial offers. We have many offers that accept incentive traffic and have great sub-id tracking.

Regarding pop ups on exit - if any affiliate has a problem with pop ups on a landing page or would like more banners or different creatives, please let me know. I'm always here to speak to the merchant on your behalf. They are almost always willing to make changes to accommodate you!

Regarding expired campaigns - immediately when an offer expires without forewarning, we email a notification to affiliates through the MaxBounty interface. In cases where the campaign is set to expire, I give you as much notice as possible.

Thanks for all your kind words. Feel free to IM me if you have any further questions at jessicadagg (AIM).

Azoogleads is what I have heard as one of the best so far. They have fast and high payouts as well as good customer retention. I have heard CJ is pretty good also.

There is one site whose name is reunion.com which helped me a lot. I really like them because I earned a good amount of money from them. Their payout is on lead not on sale.
They always pays on time and I never had a problem with them. You should try it.
