I am reading in the forum that high gravity products have too much competition to provide a good income.
What is your experience with a cb product of 30+ gravity? Any better?

Not bad, actually products with low gravity are sometimes a gold mine that needs to be harvested.

In some cases they have converted better than products with a 100+ gravity it just depends, products with any gravity have the same chance of being good or bad.

Hmmm, it looks like gravity does not really mean the product sells for you or not ... Makes it hard to choose!

Agreed. But in a way that's a good thing, because it means you can judge more from things like the sales-page and so on, and just ignore gravity completely if you want. It's quite "freeing". Up to a point. (People vary over this. I'm very reluctant myself to take on products with three-figure gravities at the moment, but that excludes only a tiny minority of CB products anyway).

The thing is, just understanding that gravity has no real correlation with either sales numbers or conversion-rates puts you miles ahead of most CB affiliates to start with.

People whine and moan about Clickbank all the time (I do myself, now and again, mostly because of their intermittently unreliable affiliate tracking and disgraceful customer service), but it remains true that all you have to do to get to over $10,000 per month is make an average of 3 sales per day (average $30 commission each) of 4 different products. Not that I'm there yet, myself, but very clearly it's possible.

I like how you divided it all up into bite sizes :) That's achievable!

Yea I agree. I don't like seeing people judge a site based off of its gravity, i've promoted many clickbank sites with gravity under 10 and they converted like mad!

I also like em because its less competition. ;-)

My experience is exactly the same.

My two best-converting products (by far) both have gravities in single figures.

Leaving a few CB products, none converted well with 30 plus gravity.

Every products has potential no matter what the gravity is, you just need to market it in the right way. But I probly wouldn't try to go lower than 20 gravity. That is just me though, everybody is different!

Gravity is an interesting concept. It basically means this, from my own words, not clickbanks, "The least number of affiliates that have made a sale in the last 30 days promoting this product"... This can be good or bad, see. If 8,415 affiliates promote a product and the product has a 60 in gravity, not many are making sales, right... while some of the "lower gravity" might only have 100 affiliates promoting, while getting a 12 in gravity.

That is a considerable amount larger number of affiliates making sales for that product in regards to the amount promoting it. That's why "popularity" is a better way to rank your potential products... But the best way is just to know your market's "hot spots", look for those in the sales copy and understand the market well enough to make the perfect match...

    Hope this helps deciding.
