We all read those topics and threads where someone claims that some website brings in good traffic. Then we have all seen people who are worried because their traffic from Google has dropped dramatically, ie. from 1000 to 100. What is your definition of good traffic? I had a site that got 200.000 uniques a day (30.000 from Google), I call that good traffic. What does good traffic mean to you? That's what I would love to know.
In my opinion it depends on the kind of the site. If you are doing a website for a small market (it may be a small territorry, lets say Slovakia or Hungary, or a market niche) then 2000 a day may be good. And if you are doing something for all the world and it is something popular then 100 000 may be not so big success.
It depends on the targeted market, however in my opinion the good traffic are the traffic that might convert into sales
good traffic is: - traffic that is looking to buy - traffic that is qualified as your target group - traffic that is using very specific keywords in search engines
Good traffic is visitor targetted traffic. Meaning if you are selling cell phones you want visitors who will be searching for cell phones. You do not want totally irrelevent visitors lets say searching for books.
If your traffic is targeted traffic (which means the visitors really looking for your contents), that's awesome. but if the traffic comes from some automated traffic exchange programs, visitors usually simply ignore the contents.
Good traffic is means visitors who click each and every ads you have and buy whatever you're offering I wish ...
Traffic is the key and quite simply put, the more traffic the better it is for your business In fact you can never have enough traffic
Good traffic is visitors who search what you provide and who come back to your site. About the complains in google traffic to some sites.. One of my sites depends mainly on google traffic (~85% of total traffic is from G) and I have different stats every day. The site is ranking good in the serps for some keywords but the "demand" is fluctuating. One day hundreds of people are searching for that stuff and come to my site, the other day just a few. Try building returning visitors and you'll not depend on the search engines that much
get my checklist 1. High rate of returning visits 2. Duration of each unique visitor is longer than 5 minutes 3. High value of rss feeder 4. Low bounce rate Correct my if i'm wrong, this is only my opinion
My definition of a good traffic is that it could easily converted to sales or at least to click in the case of cpc programs. If you are using cpa then then must sign up for the offers that you have on your blogs.
