I'd consider a neocon someone to be pro big government, pro war, and generally an evangelical. Generally they'll be flag wavers and call others of differentiating views unpatriotic. They'll show complete support for Bush and the Republican party no matter what happens. Oh and ironically enough they seem to be huge spenders; hell bent on ruining the USD.
With such a tightly described definition I don't know anyone who fits that including Bush who I thought most users of the word considered to be one.
Really? I'd consider that definition perfect in describing Bush. Which parts would you disagree with?
I highlighted the part I haven't seen him do. I underlined what I doubt he is bent on, even if some of what he does contributes. Giving Bush all the credit on the dollar would show symptoms of BDS.
'You are either with us or against us' http://archives.cnn.com/2001/US/11/06/gen.attack.on.terror/ http://www.slate.com/id/2106109/ http://www.now.org/issues/right/031402patriot.html Obviously there's nowhere where he explicitly states that. Obviously Bush isn't the sole reason the dollar is in the shitter. He's a contributing factor, along with congress.
Basically a couple years ago I was big into bodybuilding, one of the biggest mother f'ers in my school when i was 15. i got a sudden interest for football and wanted to play the next year so i ate like 6-7 meals a day, most of them consisting of freezer food hungry mans. this whole time i was having nausea and my body would shake at random times for no reason. but i thought it was just something small that would pass so i kept up with what i was doing. i achieved my goal alright, by February of my sophomore year i was 182 lbs at 5'10" with like 8% body fat, maxing out 275 on the bench. i was eager to show up all the jocks at my school (and i did at the one football session i went to), so no health issues were about to get in my way. then one day, i suddenly had a terrible pain, cramping in my intestines and had some bad diarrhea and vomiting. again i shrugged it off until it got so bad that anytime something moved in my digestive track, it felt like someone was having a javelin throwing contest and i happened to be standing around with a bullseye where it hurt lol. all this with a good mounting of other symptoms, went to every doctor in town and got every test you can name twice. i eventually had to go on home bound schooling because i was so sick. i was losing weight fast and STILL tried to keep lifting and gaining weight. eventually i lost enough weight that i accepted the fact that i wouldn't be able to play football as i had intended, and instead prepared for mixed martial arts which i had previous experience of. that was in the summer, but when fall came around and Joey Porter was on my tv i said F that i'm going out for football again LOL. so for about a year i was just lost doing my own thing, still sick, only getting as sick as i would let myself. until i decided i was done waiting around for the medical doctors, so i educated myself a bit, went to a few natural health gurus in the area and applied a little of all of their ways. I studied books, the internet, the radio, everything for more knowledge on health. then after awhile i found the "health experts" were limited in their treatments because they had a limited mindset. so i ditched them and began self treating myself for the past 5-6 months. tried different protocols, ofcourse many ultimately failed, but i gained insight from each one because they worked for a few days. a lot of times i thought i was just going insane and would never find an answer, but i knew the whole time that for everything there is a reason and that there is no incurable. it was not too long ago that i put all the pieces together finally and know what needs to be done to "cure" it. my problem, as many others are, a problem of the liver; a congestion. the liver effects all other organs in the body so it's important not to isolate an organ because they're all interconnected. but what dictates the health of the liver is ultimately what you put in your mouth or what is absorbed. and not only the liver but the blood and everything else. so why did i get sick? i was eating tons of processed food that didn't have the enzymes in them to digest themselves, so it uses MY body's enzymes to do so.. which causes aging. (when i was 16 i had the biological age of 29 btw, go figure. hungry man's sure put hair on a man's chest ) that's where the medical model fails, they treat humans like machines. but what's funny is, even machines operate with interconnected parts. everyone's been deceived to believe the cure is in a magic pill. but let's think.. when was the last time you heard of a pill CURING someone? uhh, never. nature has cures, and the reason for disease is usually when we move AWAY from nature. so what is the cure for my condition? i go by a one cure cures all standard, so what i do is this... a parasite cleanse (to kill parasites in the liver), using either herbs like black walnut, wormwood and cloves.. or use MMS, which is chlorine dioxide. a new discovery by Jim Humble that has cured tens of thousands in africa of Malaria. also cures AIDS. then a liver flush, which gets out liver and gallstones that congest the liver. all while doing an alkaline or natural diet, that is eating only vegetabls, fruits and nuts, the things humans were meant to eat (debatable). after that a 14 day orange juice fast. i'm midway into my treatment right now (doing a liver flush today actually) and will be fully recovered by March 16th. (just for the record, the one cure that cures all is eating strictly human foods: fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. but if your condition is bad enough you need to do certain means to ALLOW nature to work) i could go on about this stuff for hours and even days. i'm really not even interested in it whereas i am in politics and economics, i just get so angry with the current system of health we have, that i have to know everything to a T. and i do, there are few people who know as much as i do and even fewer who know more. i talk on a daily basis with the people who do know more, so there's no limits to where i will end up in this field. although i had the gayest 2 years anyone could imagine, it was a blessing in disguise. more so even for others than I. i'm now in a position where i can help humanity, at the same time it sees it's greatest threat. which is wrapped in the subjects of politics, power, and health. and the anti-christ. maybe. i definitely see massive genocide in the near future far surpassing Hitler's day. but.. it's already happening, in a more subtle form.. in a slicker form. where the people are unaware of it. unless i get in a car wreck or something else tragic, i plan to change the world for the better in an also slick, subtle way. if people knew what I knew in regards to who owns you, you'd have the same motives as I.
Thanks Nate. You really should put it into a blog. I also have some intestinal issues I have been working on. I would say I am about 90% better. You probably already know that what you just wrote would be illegal if you put the claim of cure with any substance. This is where the FDA needs to get out! I can understand both sides though, because there are plenty of people pushing products with claims and no basis for such. I kept away from the natural remedies for that reason, I thought they were all a joke, but things changed for me, I now take suppliments from a couple of companies I respect. Government can't be blamed for people eating habits, but there is a part that the government plays. Notice the food pyramid getting flipped upside down a couple of years ago? It was a slight improvement. Pharmas play a huge part of the problem. They don't want people to get well without their help. They like their control. Although I do believe most have good intentions, they are just misled.
thanks, you're mostly right. Health should NOT be something where there is the supply & demand function as far as i see it. health should passed down throughout the generations, as knowledge that everyone can get a hold of. but when you involve economics in the process, you're going to get big powerful people who want more that will focus on demand rather than supply. they're pretty smart, ahead of the curve of most i'd say. because they don't have good intentions, and for that matter they have no limits. well actually let me clarify that. economics is fine in health if it is strictly the people answering the questions of the marketplace, but even minimal government involvement is enough to ruin it all. but you're also right, most doctors don't know what they're doing. they're just part of a misled system that will always fail. i can blame government for some problems such as thyroid. whereas they put fluoride in the water that depletes your Iodine which in todays modern diet, we have very little of. iodine is necessary for the thyroid and a depletion of it can cause thyroid problems. i blame international government (the UN) for spraying chemicals in the air that get stored in our bodies. heavy metals like barium and mercury that slowly eat away at your immune system, setting you as a prime target to be another consumer in today's health system. all while hillary is about to get into office with her SOCIALIZED HEALTH CARE. anyone else seeing a connection? the FDA's regulations are absurd and pretty blatantly obvious that their intent is not for the benefit of people. by the way.. if you ever want help with your intestinal problem feel free to ask. www.curezone.com is a great site to learn if your current plan doesn't work. the gurus there to read on are the "Ask Barefoot, Ask Andrea Moritz, Ask moreless: pH" many others. then there's the support forums where ppl share info.
The main reason why I moved to the beach was because of salt, vitamin D and iodine. My health has improved 300% since living next to the ocean. Fluoride in the water is a major problem, I urge everybody to filter their water, even when showering we are all getting poisoned with this shit.
Neocons are statist pretending to be conservatives. While neodems or neolibs or whatever it is Hillary and Obama call themselves are admitted statists. They are all some version of statists/fascists, who love nothing better than a good war--as long as they don't have to fight in it. In other words, if you believe in freedom and the constitution, they are the bad guys.
that's awesome !! rare to hear of other people even knowing of this stuff. i'm actually considering moving south myself, so you're ahead of me by a good bit.
Our local government here is trying to put fluoride in our water. It has been quiet for a few months, but I am sure it will be pushed again shortly. I love their excuse; it is to help poor people with their teeth. bullony! How many welfare recipients drink tap water, let alone water? I have yet to see one put something liquid besides sodas and kids drinks in their shopping carts. I have known many poor people in my life and they would not benefit from fluoride in the water.
lol that's ridiculous considering fluoride doesn't even help your teeth. and i believe of the studies that were done, there was not really conclusive evidence that it helps your teeth and if it were to, it would NOT need to be ingested. but you see they know their "opportunity cost", they can either let the people have old fallen out teeth, or have old fallen out teeth with brain damage!
I don't fully agree with you about fluoride, but being poisonous, it would be best if no one used it. I do agree no one should ingest it, except those who are pushing it. Maybe they should have a taste of their own medicine. I wouldn't be surprised if bottled water companies are behind the push too. Supposedly the dentists are pushing, but something seems fishy about that.
dentists are pushing it, absolutely. they are actually the worst profession when it comes to unknowingly destroying people's health. they give mercury amalgram fillings, which i don't know how nobody has questioned their usage.. it leaks mercury into your body anytime the fillings are stimulated to a certain temperature. http://www.fluoridealert.org/fluoride-facts.htm http://www.holisticmed.com/fluoride/ 2 good sites about fluoride, the 2nd has a lot of good facts based on studies.
nate, great definition btw.. To me, neocon is an oxymoron. A conservative is just that; conservative or not. If they are not, they are not a conservative.. That said, how can a conservative be new/modern? Unless the definition of the root of the root conserve has somehow changed, I do not see neocon as an appropriate description for what is clearly another way of defining people that just do not fit in to the traditional definition of liberal.. It is really a way to discredit those that are probably quite socially liberal by nature, but have some conservative feelings when it comes to issues that are not of a social nature. That said, I would call these people Social Conservatives. I myself am quite socially liberal, but fiscally conservative in my philosophy. But I have general leaned more towards the conservative mindset from from the get go. The Neocon name is a pretty little way of trying to somehow discredit and or disqualify or perhaps explain those liberals that shift towards supporting conservative candidates... The Reagan democrat for instance.. A neocon is not someone that was already conservative to begin with..
i agree with that if they claim to not be conservative already, but people who claim to be the 'proud conservatives' are the ones that shall receive the label.
Flouride in water. My son when he was younger had pretty bad teeth. We were on well water, his pediatrician who I fully trust as he was my pediatrician as well prescribed vitamins with flouride. The vitamins helped greatly, the flouride did it's job, I don't care what any study claims when you see the proof in front of your face. We then moved to town, flouride is in the water already, he stopped the special vitamins and went to a simple childrens vitamin, teeth doing just fine.
