I don't have a regular routine as every day varies, but I always get up, read through my email, submit to my usual safelists (don't listen to people that tell you they're a waste of time), then I get down to work which is usually a combination of writing articles, adding content, building links and posting on forums. In between all that I also check my share portfolio and keep my eye out for any bargains, plus I log into all my various affiliate accounts and Adsense account about 2000 times a day to check for any new commissions
My daily marketing routine is to update my content, look through my log files to see 404 errors and check my ranking on major SEs for my keywords.
I used to always get 3 backlinks a day either in forums, blogs or directories but now I realize thats kinda a waste of time. One quality backlink a month is better than 50 billion backlinks in free directories etc.
I guess you can say I'm lazy. I figure out what needs to be done, and hire someone else to do it for me and they take a small cut. I have a regular full time job (www.dice.com) so it really cuts back on the amount I can work on marketing. But for the most part, yes, i outsource lots of my work. I will test LOTS of different methods, and when I find one that works well, I generally find a way to make it really simple (generally make a program to automate it) and then just pay someone to basically run the program all day. Really simple and more effective than you would think.
